Pet Ministry

It’s hunger relief, it’s education, it’s pastoral care. We celebrate and care for all God’s creatures.  Our congregation is filled with members who love their pets! And, we’ve learned that our pets play an important role in our spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being. That love of animals has a way of fostering our growth as lovers of creation.

We believe in helping all God’s creatures when there is a need, including all kinds of pets and wildlife……whether they are in shelters, loving homes, when disasters happen, in local or far away communities……we strive to be the disciples that help.
Pet Blessing
Throughout the year, we collect donations of money and supplies and funnel them to organizations that need help with animals. We introduce adoptable pets to the congregation, provide emergency support for shelters during times of trauma, have a member who visits the sick and homebound with Bella, our parish therapy dog, and offer pet blessings for St. Francis Day. We pray with and for those struggling with sick pets or pet grief. We provide help to needy pets and their owners through the Pet Angel Tree and Thrivent Grants and, the congregation children help with these pet gift bags.

Thought from a committee member…

”I love knowing that our actions make a difference. It warms my heart!!”

God calls us to do amazing things for all animals!
